The basic working principle 1. Use the IO port TRIG to trigger a high-level signal of at least 10μs 2. The module automatically sends eight 40kHz pulses and detects if a signal is returned 3. When a signal is returned, a high-level pulse is output through the IO port. The duration of the high level corresponds to the time from transmission to reception of the ultrasonic wave. Distance = (high level time × speed of sound (340m/s)) / 2 4. This module uses a simple method: apply a 10μs high-level signal to the control pin, then wait for the echo response on the receiving pin. When the output goes high and then returns low, the time can be measured and used to calculate distance.
