FLIGHT SENSE TECHNOLOGY: The VL53L0 uses flight sensing technology to accurately measure the time it takes for emitted pulses of infrared laser light to reach the nearest object and be reflected back to a detector. ACCURATELY DETERMINE: This time-of-flight (TOF) measurement allows the sensor to accurately determine the absolute distance to a target without the reflectance of the object significantly affecting the measurement. RESOLUTION DISTANCE REPORT: The sensor can report distances up to 2m (6.6ft) with 1mm resolution. However, its effective range and accuracy (noise) are highly dependent on ambient conditions and target characteristics such as reflectance and size, as well as sensor configuration. Sensor accuracy typically ranges from 3% under optimal conditions to over 10% under less favorable conditions. RANGE MEASUREMENTS: Range measurements are available through the I2C interface (TWI) of the sensor, which is also used to configure sensor parameters. The sensor provides two additional pins: a stop input and an interrupt output. READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USAGE: The VL53L0X is a time-of-flight telemetry system integrated into a compact module.
