Geranium Rozanne. Hardy Geranium.
GERANIUM Rozanne
\nCommonly known as Cranesbill and sometimes referred to as Hardy Geranium.
\nFirst grown in the British Isles in the 16th century the Cranesbill should not be confused with the half hardy Pelargonium popularly referred to as Geranium.
\nGeranium Rozanne is a hugely popular variety producing masses of violet-blue, saucer shaped flowers with white centres and darker veining on the petals.
\nLong flowering, it will bloom happily from late spring until the first frosts.
\nAs summer draws to a close the slightly marbled foliage of Rozanne turns various shades of reddish brown and firery orange giving the plant added interest well in autumn and early winter.
\nUsually found in the herbaceous border where it is used with great success to suppress weed growth but is also very effective when grown in tubs, pots and containers.
\nCut the plants back hard immediately after the first blooms fade and you may be rewarded with a second flush.
\nGrowing only 30cm tall Geranium Rozanne does not need staking and being a sterile hybrid will not self-seed.
\n A tough all-round plant suitable for problem areas and will tolerate cold exposed locations.
\n Geraniums will grow happily in any reasonable garden soil in full sun or dappled shade.
\n If your Cranesbill starts to look a little scruffy they respond well to being trimmed back.
\nLarge or overcrowded clumps can be lifted and split or divided in March or April.
\nKeep for slugs in spring and cut back the stems to ground level in autumn.

\nWe ask all our buyers to remember Geranium plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons. Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website. This is quite normal and not a matter for any worry or concern, it is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year. Particularly in autumn and winter many shrubs will lose their leaves and look rather bare, gaunt and stick-like and from August onwards many perennial plants may not even be showing above the soil.\n\nWe want you to be happy with your purchase and all our items are checked and inspected visually before packing. at . . Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll.
