Buddleia Flower Power.
\nA deciduous shrub with a neat habit, arching branches and long greyish green leaves.
\nCommonly called The Butterfly Bush, this American hybrid was raised by Michael Dirr at the University of Georgia in 1999.
\nBuddleia Flower Power produces clusters of fragrant, bicoloured violet and orange-pink flowers from June to September.
\nThe blooms fade to bronze in late summer.
\nSweetly scented, Buddleia flowers are a magnet for many beneficial insects, butterflies especially find them irresistible, hence the common name.
\nGrowing just 200cm tall with a similar spread Buddleia Flower Power is perfect for the smaller garden.
\nTolerant of most situations but grows best in moist, well-drained soil in full sun.
\nFully hardy, Flower Power is a colourful, very resilient, fast growing, low maintenance shrub.
\nAny pruning necessary should be done in March.
\nAn eye-catching modern variety Flower Power is proving to be very, very, popular.
