ANISODONTEA El Rayo.
\nA charming, upright, semi-evergreen (evergreen in mild areas) shrub native to South Africa.
\nGrowing just one to one and a half meters tall Anisodontea has many stems or branches and they are hairy to the touch.
\nThe lobed leaves are highly aromatic and also have a hairy feel.
\nFrom mid-summer to late autumn and sometimes even longer Anisodontea bush’s are covered with a profusion of open, saucer-shaped flowers.
\nLike miniature hibiscus and measuring 3-4cms in diameter the blooms are pink with a magenta centre.
\nAnisodontea prefers a sheltered sunny spot with well-drained soil but also does very well in pots and containers.
\nGood plant for attracting beneficial insects to the garden, bees simply love it.
\nAny pruning necessary should be done in spring.

\nOur Anisodontea plants are supplied ex. 10cm pots, they can be planted out immediately but better results may be obtained if they are grown on for a short time in a slightly larger container before transplanting to their final growing positions.
