Descripción
Anemone Konigin Charlotte.
Anemone Konigin Charlotte, a very old variety but even today is still generally regarded as the best large-flowered Japanese anemone available.
\nLeaves are vigorous, dark green, semi-evergreen and deeply divided.
\nKonigin Charlotte is a particularly choice variety with large semi-double blooms of rich rose-pink with well-formed rounded petals carried elegantly on tall wiry stems.
\nFlowering from August until October this is a fabulous plant for lighting up a dark corner of the garden late in the season.
\nFully hardy and best in partial shade Anemone Konigin Charlotte prefers moist, fertile, humus-rich soil and if given these conditions will reach a height of approx. 120cm with a similar spread.
\nKonigin Charlotte resents disturbance and if possible should not be moved, but when clumps become overcrowded or congested and disturbance become unavoidable they can be lifted and divided in early spring.
\nPopular and much sought after plant that gives herbaceous beds and borders a welcome boost in late summer and early autumn.
\nA heavy mulch of well-rotted garden compost or farm yard manure should be applied to Anomene Konigin Charlotte every year in spring.
\nRoyal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
\nIllustrations of Konigin Charlotte used are of mature plants and may not necessarily reflect the plants at all times of the year.
