A hebel, or ground switch, is a device mainly used in vehicles and machinery to disconnect the electrical supply. Its main function is to interrupt the electrical circuit, which prevents the battery from being discharged and protects the electrical installation from short-circuiting. Thanks to its robust design and high resistance to electrical loads, it ensures safe and effective current management. Application of ground switch:- Battery disconnection on trucks, agricultural and construction vehicles.- Protection against theft (disconnecting the power supply immobilises the vehicle).- Protection of the electrical system against surges and short circuits.- Safely carrying out service work on vehicles and machinery. Operation:The earth switch is usually mounted on the battery earth cable. When it is switched, the circuit is interrupted, preventing current flow and cutting off the power supply from the rest of the electrical system.
