Remove the battery from the handle and release it from the battery clamp. 3. Insert a new battery and place it back into the handle. 4. Secure the battery cover and tighten the screws. Cleaning: 1. Clean the device before and after each use. 2. For thorough cleaning, use a cotton cloth or towel moistened with detergent to wipe the probe and sensor area repeatedly, then rinse with clean water. Do not wipe dry after rinsing, as water droplets will not affect test results. Drying may cause contamination and affect accuracy. Re-clean manually if necessary to maintain performance and extend device life. 3. Clean the instrument before testing each animal to ensure accurate data and prevent cross-contamination. 4. After each use, clean the ovulation meter and store it in the original packaging. Data Interpretation: 1. Non-estrus pigs typically show readings above 450. 2. During estrus, values decrease, reaching a low of approximately 250. This low phase lasts about 20 hours before values begin to rise. First insemination is recommended when readings rise toward 400. Second insemination should occur 68 hours later, when readings are above 450. 3. After mating, readings may rise above 600 the following day and reach up to 800, which is considered normal. How to Use: 1. Clean the probe and sensor area before use. Use a damp cloth with household detergent to thoroughly wipe the probe, especially the sensing surface, as it measures mucus resistance during estrus. Rinse with clean water and use immediately. Do not dry after rinsingwater droplets do not affect results. 2. Keep the animal calm and still. Tilt the device slightly and insert it straight into the cervix until fully seated. 3. Once inserted, rotate the device one full turn and hold it in place. Press the switch to display the first reading. Press again for the second reading, and a third time for the third reading.
